I have read that Microsoft bought the code base for Dundas Data Visualization components and these components are currently bundled into SSRS 2008.Dundas continues to sell Chart and Guage for SSRS (and for a pretty heftly price too). Did they sell Microsoft a "Standard" version and continue to sell an "Enhanced" version? I guess I am some sort of comparision between what they offer and what comes with SSRS 2008. Does anything like that exist out there?ThanksMike

Hi Garsy,Thanks for your response. I would have expected Dundas to have something on their site but I could not find it. I just found some press releases that claimed that it was more full featured no specific function by function comparison like you normally see. If they had something that was much better I would expect to find a comparison chart or something like that.Oh well. Thanks again.Mike

We have indeed bought Dundas code base and have rolled out Chart and gauges in SSRS 2008. We haven't rolled out any of the other data visualization we acquired form Dundas yet. Although we are working on Map for our upcoming Kilimajaro release as was disclosed during the BI conference.After the acquisition of the code, Dundas has continued to make minor enhancement and fixes to their code base based on feedback from customers. And so have we as well....There are a couple of features (such as annotation for example) that w ehave decided for various reason to not roll out in the Microsoft version of the chart andgauges. When willMaps be available (be a part of SSRS). When is the Kilimajaro release scheduled for?Can we expect the same functionality and variety that is offered through Dundas Maps.?Are all the visualization products (chart, gauge, maps, calendar) available through BIDS?

Any updates on incorporating the calendar control? I need something like that for a project I'm working on.
