Hi, I am using SSRS 2008 + VS 2008, reports are server side, i have a drilldown report that shows subreport in drill down but when i export it in excel it doesn't show grouping it display the drilldown data as it is, there is no +/- sign beside every grouped item just like in drill down. Please let me know how to resolve it, thanks. Adi

Hi, SSRS 2008 does support drill down capabalities when exported to Excel. And the expand /collapse wil not appear exactly in the same position as it is in the report. When it is exported to Excel,it appears before teh numbering column in excel sheet. Which version of Excel are you using? Regards, Aparna. Aparna

HI, If it is showing groupign number and not displayign groups.try out the following in your excel. 1.Select your group row. 2.GO to DAta tab 3.Under outline section,select group option and select rows and click ok. This should display your groups in excel. Thanks, AparnaAparna

It is being done automatically but your default view may not be showign it. Aparna
