Download application to cache before rollout

Hello,

i have to do a rollout and I want to try something.

1. The application should be downloaded to the cache of all affected clients.

2. I want to control if the application is cached on the clients,

3. After all clients got their content I will activate the installation.

Has anyone experience in something like that?

This can only be achieved with packages IMHO (because the download will start when the required deployment becomes available (=deployment start time); so the deadline can be further in the future). Applications will download content only when the deadline is reached.
