Downgrade MOSS 2007 to WSS 3.0: What is the best project plan?
Dear All, I have a customer whom don't want to pay anymore the extra money for the extra MOSS features and has asked me to Downgrade to WSS 3.0... Is there any plan/procedure to follow? can someone suggest the best practice approach? Thanks All Vit

There really aren't any good documented ways to do that. Provided that your customer has Team sites only, you could just use STSADM -o backup to take a backup of each site collection and then restore the backups to the new WSS server. If however your client has made use of MOSS features, like Publishing, in their sites, that all needs to be disabled before you take the backup and in some cases, more disassembly will be needed. I trust that answers your question... Thanks C http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog
