Double back slashes in OLE DB connection string
I am looking for clarification on what is happening. My reports are working.
I am running SQL 2012 Developer Edition. I am working in SSDT. When I created a shared data source to an Access database file by clicking the Edit button, the connection string that is created has two backslashes at each location.
If I delete them and click OK, they are back the next time. I assume this is some sort of escape sequence, but I have never seen this documented anywhere and was curious to know why it was happening.
Thanks.

I assumed it was doing an escape of the backslash like your article states, but this did not happen in previous versions of SQL Server Reporting services, and since your document has to do with Windows CE and the registry, it still does not explain why
this is now happening in Reporting Services.Ann Weber

Assuming they are system DSN this would be how they're stored in the windows registry. This may also be a new display "feachure" of 2012 and cosmetic only. If its causing an issue and or not working then that's another issue.
