Domain users i a Domain Group can't access folders below Home in SSRS
I'm using SSRS 2005 on Windows Server 2003. A domain group was created and in this domain group a domain user was placed. I created a DB Engine login matching the Windows Domain Group name and mapped that to a User with the same name. The domain group was given the browser role in a folder under the Home folder. When the user in the Windows Group browses to http://servername/reports they can only see the Home page with no folders under it. If I put my domain users in a local Windows group and create a corresponding Login and User in SQL Server then this all works fine. Why can't I successfully use a Window domain group populated with domain users to access SSRS?Lee Markum

Users should be able to access reports in a folder via their group membership just fine, I use them all the time. Just be sure that they at least have "Browser" pemissions in the sub-folder where the report(s) exist, and the report is not marked as hidden.

Hi Lee, From your description, this issue might be caused that the insufficient permission access to Report Manager. We need to assign an Item-level role for a user under the homepage(Click Properties tab on the Report Manager homepage), so all of the report items will inherit the permissions. For more information about Report manager home page won't show deployed reports, only the header of the page, please see: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlreportingservices/thread/3dfd0ceb-f15d-4b3c-a030-35f758dc4da4 Regards, Bin LongBin Long TechNet Community Support
