Does running Attunity SSIS Oracle Adapter require SQL Server Enterprise
Hi, We are in the process of implementing a SSIS project which utilzes the Attunity SSIS Oracle Adapter. We have not seen any indication anywhere that this requires your SQL Server version to be Enterprise to be able to run it as a job or from Integration Services. We have been successfully running it from within BIDS but as soon as we deploy it to have it run on a schedule in SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition we get an error as follows: The component "Oracle Source" (31) cannot run on installed Standard Edition (64-bit) of Integration Services. It requires Enterprise Edition (64-bit) or higher. Any help would be appreciated. Mat

Prior inquiries in this forum have been responded to with the assertion that Enterprise Edition is a requirement to operate those components. Looking at the published documentation, that fact isn't openly stated, it's mostly implied. The link here says that it is "designed" to be used from Enterprise: Microsoft Connectors for Oracle and Teradata by Attunity. This page says it is "available ... to users of ... Enterprise": Using the Microsoft Connector for Oracle by Attunity with SQL Server 2008 Integration Services. I could only find the FAQ on this page stating explicitly that Enterprise is required: http://ssis.wik.is/FAQ. BUt it's a little hard to tell if this is "official" information. Bottom line - Enterprise is required. Talk to me now on

For alternative solution for inserting data in Oracle table, check CozyRoc Oracle Destination component. It is up to 30x faster compared to the regular OLE DB Destination component and it doesn't require specific version of SQL Server.SSIS Tasks Components Scripts Services | http://www.cozyroc.com/

You'd have to inquire with Microsoft or an authorized reseller - there may be discounts available for you. But here's the pricing page. Talk to me now on

Thanks for this information. I have a quick question please. How much would it be to get Integration Service Enterprise Edition. Is this a separated package to be buy or it is part of the whole sql server package. Please provide some links. Thank you
