Does anyone run profiles with no User restrictions except default Global?
I would like to try this, but I need to know the following: 1. With Disk Protection on, would changes be wiped at each shutdown/restart? 2. With the User account locked, would changes be wiped at each log off? 3. All nine default Global Restrictions would be on including; prevent users from writing to C:. These are library computers. Some people complain that they can't do what they need to do. I've been running profiles with only a few restrictions turned off. In other words, fairly high restrictions. They can use thumb drives, DVD drives and save to the desktop. Again, this would be a locked profile with no Windows or Feature restrictions.

Hi akone, I'd like to answer your questions below: 1. It based on which user you are using. If you are using Administrator or with Administrator privilege, it will ask you if you want to commit changes to WDP. For other users, those changes will be wiped if you choose "Remove all changes at restart". 2. Yes. 3. Users should be able to save data to USB device if you do not mark the checkbox "Prevent write access to USB storage devices". Sean Zhu - MSFT
