FIM supports SQL Server 2008 64-bit Standard or Enterprise Editions, Cumulative Update 2 (CU2) or later. Please see the installation guide for more details.Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Knowledge Engineer, Microsoft Corporation

exactly that`s what i understand from this but right now my environment is running on SQL server 2008 x86 . If x64 is only required then it can be considered as a bug if Microsoft wants to use only SQL server 2008 x64Cheers, Mohit Goyal

Mohit, unsupported doesn't mean "doesn't work at all".At a minimum, it means not tested and because of that not guaranteed to work. There are all sorts of unsupported scenarios you can configure with software.Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Knowledge Engineer, Microsoft Corporation

That`s great !!!How can i change the path in FIM of Database server to 64 Bit once installed with 32 Bit Sql Server? Do we have to re-install everything?Cheers, Mohit Goyal
