Does ConfigMgr SP2 support two different windows images (WIM) on standalone media?
I have a task sequence that has conditional steps to apply the 32-bit or 64-bit image depending on an LTI selection. When I attempt to create standalone media it gives me an error the file already exists (0x800700b7) when it processes the second WIM. Has anyone done this before? As a workaround I am going to merge my 32-bit/64-bit image into a single WIM and update my steps to specify the image index. Have you tried combining the two images into a single WIM? It should save you a lot of space and you can choose between the two by index in the Apply OS Image task: http://blogs.technet.com/b/cameronk/archive/2010/04/30/consolidating-your-task-sequences-part-2-how-do-i-apply-the-appropriate-index-from-a-wim-using-a-task-sequence.aspx http://blogs.technet.com/b/cameronk/archive/2010/04/29/consolidating-your-task-sequence-part-1-how-to-combine-wim-images-into-one.aspxJason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

As I mentioned I am trying this now as a workaround. Just curious if this was the only way.Levi Stevens Technical Consultant - End User Computing - West Region Dell | Services

Keith's blog is actually much more efficient than Cameron's. http://deployment.xtremeconsulting.com/2010/12/16/combining-wim-files/Levi Stevens Technical Consultant - End User Computing - West Region Dell | Services
