Document workspaces in SP 2007 Standard (hosted by MS): What are they, really?
When you create a document workspace for a document already hosted in a document library, how do you prevent changes to the document in the original document library, and direct users to make change in the document workspace? A different but related question: Why doesn't the document in the original document library just become a link to the most recent major version in the document workspace? How is a document workspace different from a blank site that uses Annoucement, Shared Documents Library, Tasks, Links, and Members Web Parts (other than automatically populating the blank site)?
