Hi,

A doc library is associated with Document Content type published from Content type hub.

When New document is created using this content type

Ribbon -- >New --> Document Content type published from Content type hub-->

This opens new document in Office Word application.

Once document is saved , the Content type information is not saved and Content type dropdown shows the different value.

Is this the limitation of the Content type published from hub?

or there is any work around for this.

Hi,

I tried to reproduce this issue as below:

1. Create a Content Type Hub with a custom Document Content Type in it, publish this content type;

2. In the subscriber site, add this custom Document Content Type into a library;

3. Create a document based on this custom Document Content Type, the columns in this custom Content Type appears at the top of the document in Office desktop application.

I suggest you follow the steps above to make another test to see if the issue persists.
