Do i need to check the Database
Hi, I am going to upgrade a SCCM 2007 SP1 (version 400.6221.1000) to SCCM 2007 SP1 R2. Voor a SP installation you you perform a database check (setup /testdbupgrade <DB Name>) before executing the real SP install. Do i need to check the database also for the installation of R2? Thanks for your help. Geijs

Hi Geijs, It's not required to do so, but considered a good practice.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

Thanks Kent, That brings me to another question. How must i perform the DB check? The upgrade to R2 is done by executing a MSI file. There is no setup executable. Thanks again. Geijs

The database related mofications were already introduced with SP1 if I am not mistaken. R2 just enables those "hidden" features. There's no R2-setup that provides the /testdbupgrade possibility.
