Do I need to uninstall SMS 2.0 and clients before deploying SCCM 2007?
Yes, we're that far behind the times. I'm thinking that I probably do want to just get entirely rid of SMS 2.0 and its clients and then start fresh with SCCM 2007. We have around 400 clients, and everything is centralized, so it most likely won't
be as much of an ordeal as trying to upgrade, even if that's possible. So, my question is - is there a "best" way to do the SMS 2.0 uninstall? Or is that another forum - if so, please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
We are primarily Windows 2003, moving to 2008, active directory,
Looking forward to being up-to-date.

It's not supported to upgrade from SMS to ConfigMgr (and I have never tried that), so I would uninstall the client before installing ConfigMgr.

Yes, you should uninstall the SMS 2.0 client using ccmclean prior to installing the SCCM client.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products
