While creating a distribution point with windows server 2012 R2 standard, I am seeing an error  "Distribution Manager failed to connect to the distribution point\ check your network and firewall settings"

message id: 2391    source: SMS Server      Component: SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER

firewall is disabled , wbemtest is connecting to the remote server and i have tried using site server account and custom account for installing the dp, but of no use.

How can i fix this?

Error occured. Performing error cleanup prior to returning

Warn:GetShareInfo() failed.Error code = 0

This is all i get in the distmgr.log

I can see the above mentioned error message in the configuration manager status message viewer

But if i push packages into secondary , the dp's are receiving the packages that are associated with the secondary.

So i am not sure why its showing that error.
