Is it possible to make the accountname attribute required for DL creation in the FIM portal? The field does not show up when creating a new group. I have been mapping the displayname to the samAccountname on my outbound sync rule, but I sometimes encounter issues when the displayname does not conform to the rules for samAccountname. For example, we like to put a "*" at the front of our distribution groups displaynames so that they all go to the top of the GAL. When i do this, I get an error on export to AD due to the fact that this is a invalid character for the samAccountname attribute. Can I edit the RCDC to make the accountname field visible so that we can choose an accountname that will work, or do i have to modify it with code to remove the invalid characters. Rich

Hi Rich, You can edit RCDC for groups to change the name of the AccountName in UOCTextBox to a different name. Thanks, Sri
