Distinct Count of Records Altered
Hi I am pretty new to Reporting Services so am probably just a bit dumb right now. My problem is that I have a dataset that displays accounts with closure and address change details. Where there has been a change of address or a closure in the last 7 days, I want to get a running total of the number of accounts that this has happened to. I have specified in my filters "in the last 7 days" and have created fields in my data set that return a 1 or a 0 in a closed and address_changed field depending of whether there have been instances. When I try and get a sum of this, I am experiencing some problems because there have been multiple address changes per account. As a result, 1 account may show 3 address changes and 3 closures where there have been 3 address changes but only one closure. In this example, I am trying to show that there has been an address change, so the 3 should be returning as 1. Can anyone help? Thanks Matt

Having spent some time looking at the results and trying to understand the reasons why, I have now deduced that I was, in fact, being dumb, ironically, by trying to be too clever. I need to split my dataset out into different datasets, as the date field that each part will work off is different. I was trying to use a calculated field to do it. Thanks anyway!
