Displaying a custom error for an external site but not internal
I have a SharePoint site which is exposed internally and externally. For internal users, I modified the web.config so that code blocks are allowed in the master page, but not for the external web site. Is it possible to replace the parse error that comes up for external suers with a custom error message telling them they must only use this web site internally?

Hi Josh, You can try to custom the error page and access denied page on your SharePoint. When the external user visit the web site, he will get your custom error page. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ketaanhs/archive/2010/03/13/moss-sharepoint-2007-custom-error-page-and-access-denied-page.aspx Here is a useful link about locking down Office SharePoint Server sites: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee191479.aspx Thanks, Lhan Han
