To start, I'm not a developer and we don't have developers so I do the best I can.

I've modified the People Search results page to include some additional fields, including the Assistant.  All fields work and look great, except for the Assistant.  The Assistant field displays the account name for the Assistant and not their Display Name.

We would like for the Assistant field to show the Display Name of the Assistant.

In Search service application > Search Administration  > Metadata > search for assistant > Add display name as crawled property.  hope this will help
