In Sharepoint 2007 in team discussions list, how can I disable reply option to a group of people?

Hi Vivek, Please go to Team Discussion>Setting>Discussion Board Settings>Permissions for this discussion board. Then you can manage the permission as you want. If a user's permission is view only, he will not see the reply option. Hope that could be helpful.

You may need to consider playing with groups to achieve this. SharePoint 2007 gives you the ability to mix and match permissions, but the permissions relating to lists/libraries distinguidh between Edit, Delete and Create on these levels only.
