I have deleted a sharepoint site collection http://servername/sites/testsite and tried to access the site url and got different behavior. 1. When i access the url using default.aspx at the end e.g. http://servername/sites/testsite/default.aspx i get an error Server error in '/' application and below that a message says "The system cannot find the path specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070003))" 2. When i access the url http://servername/sites/testsite i am getting HTTP 404 which is normal. Can someone help me to understand the problem behind this?aju

How big was the site that you tried to delete? This is an error that can occur sometimes if the site was large and/or heavily populated.
