Hi There What do you mean by processing options. Do you mean Subscription ? using subscription you can automatically sent your report in different format to your users or save your report in a location at a certain time for more info please look http://www.databasejournal.com/features/mssql/report-subscription-in-ssrs-2008-r2.html http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159762.aspx You can schedule report snapshots to be run during off-peak hours; this can reduce the load on your database servers, you can also use report snapshots to archive reports at a particular point in time for later viewing; e.g. month end reports, year-end reports etc. http://www.databasejournal.com/features/mssql/report-snapshots-in-ssrs-2008-r2.html http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/1922/working-with-report-snapshots-in-sql-server-reporting-services-ssrs/ Many thanks Syed

Hi There Thanks for your posting. I know what you mean now First is cache in SSRS By enabling caching SSRS improves the performance of report processing for the report so that if the same report request comes again or for all subsequent requests the stored copy can be rendered in the desired format and served instead of processing it from scratch as long as cache is available as you are changing the parameter values first request will take some time to rendered for more details http://www.databasejournal.com/features/mssql/report-caching-in-sql-server-reporting-services-2008-r2.html http://blogs.technet.com/b/rob/archive/2010/02/11/caching-ssrs-reports-for-performance.aspx the second is Snapshot You can schedule report snapshots to be run during off-peak hours; this can reduce the load on your database servers, you can also use report snapshots to archive reports at a particular point in time for later viewing; e.g. month end reports, year-end reports etc. http://www.databasejournal.com/features/mssql/report-snapshots-in-ssrs-2008-r2.html http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/1922/working-with-report-snapshots-in-sql-server-reporting-services-ssrs/ Many thanks Syed

Hi There If you need to create the snapshots you have to use snapshot options because report snapshots are archive reports at a particular point in time for later viewing. While cache if the same report request comes again or for all subsequent requests the stored copy can be rendered in the desired format and served instead of processing it from scratch as long as cache is available I hope this will help Many thanks Syed
