Diferent Links in Notification Emails because of alternative access mapping
Hi, we have a Sharepoint Server and enabled alternative access mapping. if the user is currently in the office, he/she is authenticated by active directory and opens sharepoing with url like "http://Intranet" if the user is currently outside the office he/she has to use an RSA key and access the sharepoint with url like "http://MyCompany". the problem is: if a user creates an alert, the url depends on when he has done this. if he creates an alert inside the company a notification contains "http://intranet" url, if he has done it from outside the notification contains "http://MyCompany" url. users are not able to work with notifications comportable. is there a way to define the url which will be send in the nofication mail irrespective from which place user creates an alert? thanks

hello you should address first this article http://blogs.msdn.com/sharepointdeveloperdocs/archive/2007/12/07/customizing-alert-notifications-and-alert-templates-in-windows-sharepoint-services-3-0.aspx . Another way - is to created custom solution based on item event receivers which will fire events when some changes are made in list and send custom email. In this case you will be able to format your email as you wish Blog - http://sadomovalex.blogspot.com Codeplex - http://camlex.codeplex.com
