I setup Device Affinity and something still isn't working right.
I enabled Audit account logon events and Audit logon events in group policy. I changed the Client settings to have a 60 minute threshold in 7 days and set it to automatically configure device affinity. So it should be adding Primary Devices fairly quickly (too quickly but I'm testing right now).
Currently I've checked a variety of people. Most don't show a Primary Device for them.
For me it shows 3 devices I don't believe I've ever logged into (They are all Windows XP machines and I only use Windows 7/8)
For another IT coworker it also shows 3 machines. 1 is his test box, 1 is a computer he was working on recently and the last is a box he has no recollection of. But it doesn't show his primary machine.
I checked my UserAffinity.log file and see a lot of entries. Today's entry shows this:
<![LOG[Checking existing users for new device affinity.]LOG]!>
<time="14:39:42.442+420" date="07-19-2013" component="UserAffinity" context="" type="1" thread="1420" file="affinityagent.cpp:966">
<![LOG[Auto affinity threshold settings Days = '7', User Minutes = '60', AutoApproveAffinity = '1'.]LOG]!>
<time="14:39:42.445+420" date="07-19-2013" component="UserAffinity" context="" type="1" thread="1420" file="affinityagent.cpp:992">
<![LOG[Updating WMI with assigned affinity relationships.]LOG]!>
<time="14:39:46.406+420" date="07-19-2013" component="UserAffinity" context="" type="1" thread="1420" file="affinityagent.cpp:1105">
So it would appear my device affinity "should" be working correctly if I'm reading this right yet it doesn't show up in SCCM.
Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
