I have SharePoint list that requires several emails to be sent at different times. Some happen when the item is changed; others are based on time. This list has an related Comments list where the comments are stored and email notifications of new comments are sent. An item in the Comments list is created everytime an item in the Main List is created via a designer workflow. Then if comments are added to the form, a workflow updates the item in the comments list. A workflow is initiated on that list to append to the Combined Comments field then send an email of the 'Comments Log'.

The problem is I am receiving a lot a "Alert New Comment Posted failed to run." errors on this workflow. I have followed the instructions in this KB article to no avail:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did the designer workflow fail to run after pause?

It would be better for us to find the root reason why full crawl didnt respond if you provide corresponding logs in ULS log.

Did you check if the Workflow Timer Job Service is started only on servers where the Web Application Service is running?

Please access CA and check if some Workflow Timer Jobs are 0% progress. If yes, pleast restart OWSTIMER.EXE.
