Deserialization failed: Unable to load report designer
I am working in the environment installed in a VM (windows 2003 server) with SQL Server 2008.
This morning while I was working on report through my remote connection to the VM, MS BI development studio suddenly crashed and when I opened again the report is not appearing.
Instead a line of XML/HTML code is appearing in design mode as following :

Please note that i was working in the designer and never even opened code for this.
Can you please let me know what has happened and what could be the possible remedy and prevention? I have put a considerable effort on designing the report but in worse case scenario I will develop that report again
