Deselect multibox selection box if another box is ticked

Hi,

I have a multi selection box in my InfoPath where the first box "Not required" is ticked by default and there are a number of other boxes - say, "Box 1", "Box 2" and "Box 3" as other options.

How can I make it so that if "Box 1" is ticked, that the "Not Required" box is unticked?  I'm assuming there is a rule that can be applied I'm just not sure what that would be.

Hi,

There is no OOB way to deselect single value in multiple-selection list box. So you are unable to use multiple-selection list box to achieve your requirement by OOB way.

I suggest you use single check box. More detailed steps:

1. Insert four check boxes with Not Required, Box 1, Box 2, Box 3 beside them.

2. Set Not Required check box default state is checked.

3. Add rule to each Box 1, Box 2, Box 3 check box. Condition: each check box is equal to TRUE. Action: set Not Require False.

Thanks,
