Deployment in OSD of IE11 installed but not visible

We have SCCM 2012 R2 and I'm trying to install IE11. I made an install package with IEAK11 and have put the prerequisites in it following this tuto -> http://prajwaldesai.com/deploy-internet-explorer-11-using-sccm-2012-r2/

In the past I used SCCM2007 and had a vbs script that installed IE11 without problem and prereqs.

The output I get now is:

I extracted from the flat folder the msi and imported it into sccm for deployment. In the software center it stated 'Installed' but if I restart I still see IE8

Ok, I found the problem. The installer wants to download the prerequisites while they are inside the package

Could there be a problem with IEAK11? I installed the msi with command-line: msiexec /i "IE11-Setup-Full.msi" /q /norestart /l*v "C:\Windows\Temp\IE11_install.log"

Ok, there seems to be a proxy problem because the process is launched as being SYSTEM user and therefor no proxy is set as in our corporate env. we use one.

I am not waiting or looking for a solution of IEAK11 anymore. I'll do it without the MS tool even if IE is from MS. I used the script of Williams D on this page -> http://windowsexplored.com/2014/12/08 and changed some parameters.

May 22nd, 2015 11:40am

I let it go. This tool is not working under the SYSTEM account without setting up proxy settings. I found a good script which I slightly modified here http://windowsexplored.com/2014/12/08/

Had one with more logging but this does the job too.

Hi Michael140,

I am glad the issue has been resolved by yourself and thanks for updating the case. It will be very useful for the person who will come across the similar issue in the future.

Best regards
