Deployment Status Incorrect

Forgive me if this question has already been asked, a search didn't bring up any answers I was looking for.

We deployed IE11 using SCCM a couple of weeks ago.  So far, we're about 95% compliant (out of about 2600 PCs).  However, in researching a few that have errors, I came across a few computers labeled under "Success" that are actually still running IE10.  In the App Discovery log for one PC, it says that the application was detected as early as this morning.  Oddly enough, the AppEnforce log doesn't even exist on this PC for some reason, so I'm unable to confirm there if or when it was "successfully" installed.  If I launch IE on the PC, it's clearly still IE10.  I've only spot-checked a few of these and it's hit or miss.  Is it just me, or is it strange that SCCM is reporting a successful installation when it's clearly unsuccessful?  Has anyone else experience anything like this?

What detection method is being used for IE11?

AppEnforce won't exist if nothing has ever tried to install which will be the case if the detection of the Application was successful at the beginning of the deployment enforcement.

Since the application package was an MSI, it auto-configured the MSI Product Code as the detection method. I searched the registry for that Product Code and it does show up.  So that makes a little more sense as to why it's showing as successful, however I'm still boggled as to why Programs and Features doesn't show the update as installed and the Help option in IE clearly shows IE10.

I figured out how to fix my issue. I've changed the detection method to detect the version number of iexplore.exe instead of using the Product Code. That still doesn't answer my question why Product Code detection failed me, but I'm already seeing positive results from my change.

I appreciate everyone's response.
