Hi, I have a Config Manager 2012 SP1 Environment and most things seem to be running well. However I have noticed that under the Deployment Status of some Application Deployments that the Error rate of installs is very high. I know that majority of applications have been installed OK yet they are under the error tab of the deployment status.

When clicking the Error tab to find out more I get nothing apart from a message saying "Status information is currently unavailable for this deployment" Yet according to the pie chart almost 3/4 of machines have reported an error with this application deployment.

Does anyone else have this issue? I have updated the machine collection membership that the application is deployed to and re-distributed the app as mentioned on another website by someone with a similar problem but this hasn't helped.

Have you already kicked off the "Run Summarization" task that shows up in the upper right corner when displaying the deployment status for an application?

Yes I have done that numerous times. I did however do it again just now and the pie chart has changed. Now there are more success and less failed, not by much though. But it still says "Status information is currently unavailable for this deployment" under the error tab.

We are seeing a similar issue, pie chart working but no status info. In our case this is only happening with uninstall deployments, not install. Install Deployment Status populated as expected.

OK, we haven't got any uninstall deployments at the moment so I cannot comment on that.

I have also noticed another deployment that only shows 1 PC with an error yet the Pie chart is 2/3 error, there is 28 PCs in that collection with the program advertised.

More info, we have 10 uninstall deployments and every one of them is having the same issue. One curious thing, the Unknown tab is showing data while Success, In Progress, Error and Requirements Not Met all have no status info.

I checked again earlier today and had about 2/3 of a deployment with success, and 1/3 error. I have just checked again and found that they have gone backwards. Its almost a 50/50 split being success and failed. I cannot understand what is going on.

That link is helpful finding what the errors are exactly however it doesn't give a fix for the initial problem.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
