Deploying reports using Report Builder 3.0
I've deployed an SSRS report on SharePoint 2010 using BIDS and now want to edit the report in Report Builder 3.0. My changes in Builder include adding a new filter parameter and modifying one of the shared datasets to include the parameter in it. When I save the report via Builder, does it also refresh the dataset that was changed? If not, what would be the recommended way to deploy all my changes to the Report project using Report Builder? Thanks for the help, DhruvDR

Hi, Do you mean you added a parameter to the report and add a filter to the shared dataset by referring the value of the new parameter in Report Builder 3.0? If I have misunderstood, please point out. Based on my testing, if we add a filter to the shared dataset in Report Builder 3.0, it only makes changes on the shared dataset reference in the report definition. In other words, the shared dataset on the Report Server would not be affected. Please be noticed that the filter still works after save the report in this way. In order to modify the shared dataset in Report Builder 3.0, we can first navigate to it in the Reporting Manager. Then, open the dropdown menu of it and select “Edit in Report Builder”.
