Deploying drivers from SCCM for Toshiba Dynadock U3.0

Hi,

I am trying to deploy the drivers for Dynadock U3.0 docking station from SCCM to our fleet of laptops but not having any luck so far. The CD only comes with a setup.exe file which runs into issues anyway so I have to install externally sourced drivers (DIsplayLink) first (which is also a setup.exe file).

If i extract the .exe files I can a lot of .sys files but not many .inf files which doesn't install  much when using 'pnputil.exe -i -a' (as per this solution: http://ccmexec.com/2013/10/update-a-device-driver-configuration-manager-2012/). If I load everything up manually, then go into device manager and driver details I can locate the .sys files for audio, network, etc but I can't install these without an .inf file can I? Also, Plug and Play is blocked on users machines.

Also there is the issue that the drivers may not install if the docking station is not connected at the time of driver install.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I would recommand to contact with the manufacture first because the issue is related to the setup file itself.

The setup.exe may contain some parameter so that you can deploy it with package.

Why don't you try to install the setup.exe as a traditional program / package? You could try this tool to check if silent switch is available for the setup package http://deployhappiness.com/the-ultimate-exe-silent-switch-finder/
