Deploying W7 Swedish version stops
Hi I followed Johan Arwidmarks DeploymentCD 2 for creating an MDT TS to build and capture the a reference image. Everything work good when I use W7 English version but when I create a new MDT TS for W7 Swedish version it stops and shows this picture: http://img806.imageshack.us/i/w7swe.png/ I tried updating settings package unattend.xml with UILanguage=sv-SE SystemLocale=sv-SE KeyboardLocale=sv-SE UserLocale=sv-SE InputLocale=sv-se but it stills does not move. What am I missing?

Yes I did update the settings package. I have tried the settings that you wrote before, except the Timezone. I'm adding it to the unattend again and going to try deploy it again. I'm using W7 Enterprise x86 SP1 Swedish.

if you press f8 during deployment and before the Setup Windows and ConfigMgr step, browse to c:\windows\panther\ and look at the unattend.xml file created, do you see the correct settings in there ? any spelling mistooks ? My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

Niall there is no C:\Windows\Panther yet. In C: there is only the folder _SMSTaskSequence and inside are several folders (logs etc..) and a unattend.xml. I opened the unattend.xml and scrolled throught it to confirm that all settings that i had set before were there.

let me explain, after the apply operating system image step, and before the Setup Windows and configmgr step, press F8, you should be able to browse the folder, once the setup windows and configmgr step completes, you can verify if you file has the changes applied to it, before closing the command prompt and letting it do it's normal reboot to setup windows My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

Niall I understand what you mean, the screenshots says it stops at "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr" which is after "Applying Operating System". But in reality the step "Applying Operating System" hasn't completed but continues to the next step and just stands at the screen were you choose language. So there is no C:\Windows\panther or anything yet on C:\ because setup hasn't started yet... Hope you understand what I mean.

can you send me a screenshot of your apply operating system image step and a copy of the unattend.xml file you are using My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

The "Applying operating System" step only last for 2-3 minutes before it moves on to the next step. Do you still need a screenshot of it? I'm sending the unattend.xml to anyweb@gmailREMOVETHIS.com Thanks

as a test can you just use the following unattend.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> - <unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"> - <settings pass="oobeSystem"> - <component name="Microsoft-Windows-International-Core" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <InputLocale>%OSDInputLocale%</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>%OSDSystemLocale%</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>%OSDUILanguage%</UILanguage> <UILanguageFallback>%OSDUILanguageFallback%</UILanguageFallback> <UserLocale>%OSDUserLocale%</UserLocale> </component> </settings> <cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="wim://sccm/sources/os/7/rtm/x86/sources/install.wim#Windows 7 ENTERPRISE" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /> </unattend> and replace the variables i've added with sv-SE Thanks Niall, you saved my day! Your unattend.xml did it. Strange why the MDT TS Settings pacakge created unattend.xml doesn't work.
