I have 3 hotfixes from MS that I'm trying to deploy with SCCM. I've successfully deployed them one at a time using 3 different advertisements, and I have successfully deployed them via a task sequence all together. My question is this: I can verify that the hotfixes are installed, but SCCM is saying the install failed....why is that? The individual advertisments were tested on 10 different servers, 9 were successful, and 1 says "10042 - Program will not rerun" This message comes up for a different server on each different advertisement.....but they all have the hotfixes installed Also, my main concern is the task sequence. I have 3 different command lines running the 3 different hotfix programs. Each one requires a reboot, so the first 2 in the sequence have the /quiet /norestart switches, and the 3rd is just /quiet. I turned on the progress window and I can see each hotfix download and install, and when the 3rd one is finished, the server reboots....which is exactly what I want. but SCCM shows that both test servers failed....even though the hotfixes are installed. are these sccm server logs, or client log files?

sorry, but i did a search for *.log on each of my test servers and there is no record of any of the log files you mentioned
