Deploying Clients
Hello everyone, I am looking for client deployment input. Up until now, we've been installing the Client from our Primary site server located in our corporate location. When we initiate the ccmsetup.exe (when NOT using the Push method) the client slowly downloads the required data through BITS to the local computer and installs it. When dealing with our remote clients in China and Australia and we have a need to quickly uninstall and reinstall the client because of time constraints, the slowness of downloading the data files thru bits from our Primary Site server here in the states make the install take hours. Is there a "quick" way that I can prestage all of the required client files on a remote servers in China and Australia allowing us to install it on the server quickly and allowing the techs to proceed with what they need to do? Both the China and Australia servers are BDP's and the client package is staged on these servers... but since the techs are initiating the install by typing \\primarysiteserver\client\ccmsetup.exe it doesn't know to reach to a local BDP. Even with that, it wouldn't know in the first place since there is no client installed to redirect the data downloads. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sean
