Deploying Application and Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle

I have a few questions regarding application deployment.

1. I have an application that I have deployed to my client computers. The application is a .msi file that is an Outlook Add-in. The one issue I have is that the install will not run if Outlook is open. Is there a way to have an application deployment close out a certain application to allow install to happen?

2. How often does the Application Deployment eval Cycle run and is there a way to modify how often it runs?

Hi,

For your first question, I'd use a script to deploy the msi. That way you can do any number of things before the application is actually installed, including closing any running Outlook processes. As for your second question, the default is 7 days and you can change that value by using custom client settings:
