Deploy rdl files in SSRS 2005 without web interface and BIDS
Hi guys, I have the following problem: I would like to load rdl file without using the SSRS 2005 reports server interface (web page) or BIDS 2005 but loaded in a different way. I know that ther is the rs.exe utility, but surfing the internet I have not found any of interesting. The requirement is: Load a .rdl file (or more) in a specific subfolder. What is the way? Thanks

Hi Fasttrack, Reporting Services Scripter is a third part tool developed for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, you can use it freely, to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services' build-in feature, you can make use of RS utility. By default RS.exe is located at \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn folder. The RS utility is a script host that you can use to perform scripted operations. Use this tool to run Microsoft Visual Basic scripts that copy data between report server databases, publish reports, create items in a report server database, and more. You can also deploy rdl using rs.exe in a bat file To learn more about using scripts to administer a server, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159720.aspx Thanks, Challen Fu Forum Support If you have feedback for TechNet Subscriber Support, please contact usPlease remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
