Deploy Win 2008 R2 without installing sccm client
With LiteTouch MDT I can deploy the OS without installing the configmgr client, using the task "Install Operating System". I would like to do the same thing in SCCM, but the only option I have is "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr". The reason I want this is because I would like to deploy some servers without the configmgr-client and some servers with. Any ideas?Jrgen

No, it is not possible to use an OSD Task Sequence without installing the ConfigMgr client agent. The Setup WIndows and ConfigMgr task explicitly installs the agent right after Windows setup is finished. There is no way to change this behavior and it is required because any tasks after this one in the task sequence require the presence of the agent to function.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys
