Deploy .NET 4.5.2 Feature Pack

Hopefully a simple one and I'm missing an option somewhere.

SCCM 2012 R2

.NET 4.5.2 is a Feature Pack, appears in Software Updates and is part of a SUG and Deployment Package along with all my other software updates

Problem is that SCCM is reporting zero required and the Installed count of two is where it's been installed manually.

I presume it's not installing because of its "Feature Pack" categorization.

How can I force it to be installed along with other software updates rather than creating a package to install it?

Thanks

This sounds like the detection/requirements (baked inside the update metadata) are not being met.
Similar symptoms for IE upgrades via featurepack, etc.
The trick is, that it's not often publically documented as to what the pre-reqs/requirements *are*  :[

What is your target platform? Are those targets otherwise up-to-date with critical updates etc?

Another option, to discover the pre-reqs, might be to examine one of the systems where .NETFW4.5.2 has installed, check the .netfw logs, it might reveal the checks being performed. (this technique worked well for us, for the IE10/11 upg

AFAIK,SCCM client will scan for all updates irrespective of what category or feature you have enabled in software update point means, client will scan against the catalogue file which consists of all metadata info what has been enabled in your SUP.So in your case, you can check the logs updatestore.log,wuahandler.log and updatesdeployment.log for particular SUG deployment if these .net updates really required or not. Pick a client that says required =No and see if you can install any of these deployed updates manually if the PC accepts or not (it might says these updates not required for this PC or something). Or Another reason could be for these patches show required=0 could be that, the clients may not have the prereq installed before you install other updates. So to see what's happening, pick a client and install the updates manually for any prereq missing or not.
