Dell Latitude E7450 - importing drivers into SCCM 2012 R2 (not SP1)

Hi,

Anyone have issues importing Windows 8.1 drivers for the Dell Latitude E7450 into SCCM 2012 R2 (it's not SP1 -yet) ?  It imports all of the drivers, except the network drivers, for which it says "the selected driver is not applicable to any supported platforms" for all of them.

Thanks

Are you using a driver package provided by Dell? Try this method instead:

  1. Install Windows 8.1 manually to your E7450
  2. Install all the needed drivers manually
  3. Use this tool https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/ConfigMgr-Driver-Injector-aae7d17d to 'grab' the non-microsoft drivers to another folder
  4. Import the drivers that tool grabbed

What OS is the site server running on? Server 2008 (R2)? If so: a hotfix might be needed then.

Yes, our sole SCCM2012 R2 server is Windows 2008 R2 Standard SP1 64-bit.

Is the hotfix below included with the latest SP1 for SCCM2012 R2 ?

Thanks

No! Its a Hotfix for Windows Server 2008 R2 and not for ConfigMgr 2012 R2. :)
