New client, 21K clients world wide. The current OS is XP SP3, starting an upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. The DELL CFI is the current imaging solution, the client creates a stand alone media, and ships it to employees around the world to install. there is an SCCM server involved, where they create the Task sequence per Dell specifications. the client insists on retaining the current process. On a regular basis, we image engineer with MDT and deploy with SCCM. It seems to me that we will not be able to use the MDT WinPE, since the final target is a stand alone media which does not "talk" to the network until the very end. Has any one worked with the Dell CFI before? Any suggestions? The documentation from Dell is very clear, create the TS with SCCM however they use LTI as well. any help is greatly appreciated

I wanted to see if it would be possible for me to keep the MDT integrated WinPE, but that does not seem to be the case.

You can integrate MDT with ConfigMgr, that gives you some more options in the Task Sequence. But I think that is not what you are looking for.Follow me through my blog and Twitter!
