Deleting a site system that no longer exists
How do you delete a site system? I know how to delete a role from a site system but how do you delete the server from the list of site systems? I have Configmgr component server and ConfigMgr site system still listed as a roles but no delete option. I had the FSP on this site system and deletedit (it never installed becuase of IIS issues). That server has sincebeen renamed. Could this be why I dont have the delete option?

Site Management ->Site server listing example: Site Managment XXX - Company.com Primary SErver + Site Settings + XX1 -Company Secondary Site Right click on site server and click delete -> Delete the site This should remove it from all of SCCM. Are you saying that it is showing up in Site Settings -> Site Systems

We had this same problem also. I found that by modifing a role setting for a different server in the same site the option came available. For instance, I modified the state migration point setting for the number of days to keep the data from 7 to 8 then I immediately took it back to 7. Within about 10-15 seconds after making that change the delete option was available. Hope this helps someone else out...
