Deleting a resource from a child site
If I need to delete a client record that is assigned to a child site, for example an obsolete or duplicate record, should I delete it from the the child site, the parent site, or both? It seems like if I delete it from the child where it's assigned, it stays on the parent server with a new discovery of Client Decommissioned or something like that. Thanks.

technically I think you can do either but I always do it on the central site. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

It's possible to delete obsolete clients from both the sites but as John suggested, I also do it from Central site only. Thx.

Hi, If you delete records on the child site then the deletion will be forwarded to the parent site. It takes a little while which is why most people delete the ressource on both sites.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

If you delete records on the child site then the deletion will be forwarded to the parent site. That will just set the "decomissioned" flag to 1 on the central site. Deleting a resource from the central site will result in deleting the resource on the child site, too. So deleting it on the central is the way to go IMHO.
