Delete a user profile
Greetings, I have recently inherited a MOSS server where all the accounts where housed changed changed from domainA to domainB. A quest tool was used to migrate the users from domain A to Domain B and migrate the profiles in SharePoint as well. As all nifty tools do, there seems to be a snag with one user. His SharePoint profile did get migrated and he is able to use sharepoint under his Domain B account. The problem is that his profile name is now domainA\username. I have gone into the SSP Profiles and checked his profile name there. It is correct. to cover my bases I changed it and did an stsadm -o sync. No change on the user profile (as viewed from the users "mysettings") . I then changed his AD display name (although it was correct) and then did another SSP full profile import and full crawl. Still no change on the ID. I then did an stsadm -o deleteuser : confirmed the user was removed in SSP profiles. Then did a full SSP profile import from AD and another full crawl. User was back but still incorrect. I have also tried to use stsadm -o migrateuser (but since the user account has already been migrated this did not work) *desperation move userID = DomainB\user user name = DomainA\user Frustrating. Is there another place I can try to resolve this from? Thanks for your help.

Hi, Check the userinfo table of site collection where you are facing this. Then go to all people and delete him from site collection. Then add him again and this time it should resolve to the correct domain. I hope this will help. Thanks, Rahul Rashu
