Delete Agent from DDR
We have several client PC's that we use as Branch DP's in our branch offices, and they show SMS_WINNT_SERVER_DISCOVERY_AGENT as one of the discovery agents. We have decided to move the role of BDP to some of the newer PC's in the branches, but the older ones that are no longer BDP's still show the SMS_WINNT_SERVER_DISCOVERY_AGENT in the properties of the client object. We have Aged Discovery Data being deleted every 22 days, but this agent never gets deleted. How can I force those PC's that are no longer BDP's to remove that discovery agent?TIA...--Joe.--Joe.

the SMS_WINNT_SERVER_DISCOVERY_AGENT is componant of network discovery No. It's not network discovery: it's what it says: server discovery (a component that discovers ConfigMgr's site systems).

the SMS_WINNT_SERVER_DISCOVERY_AGENT is componant of network discovery No. It's not network discovery: it's what it says: server discovery (a component that discovers ConfigMgr's site systems). So is there a way to delete it? They are no longer ConfigMgr Site systems...--Joe.--Joe.

Yes, I know this is an old post, cleaning up old posts. It was network discovery that has detect that device at some point in the past. This does not indicate that they have any roles installed on them. The only way to get his to be remove is to delete the PC from the CM07 console. http://www.enhansoft.com/
