I have a pc win xp pro sp3 with 3 account: Administrator, Limited, Limited with SteadyState. In this pc there are 2 printers (hp m2727 and pdf printer). In account administrator the default printer is Hp m2727. In limited account the default printer is a pdf printer, manually I setted the hp printer as default In account limited with steadystate, I cannot change the default printer, and now I need to set the hp as default one. Please follow this steps below : 1 Open Windows SteadyState 2 Go to “Protect the Hard Disk” and turn off the “Windows Disk Protection” 3 Click User setting on Windows SteadyState, choose the user you have set 4 In General Settings, remove the option “Lock profile to prevent the user form making permanent changes” 5 Go to Windows Restrictions, set the restriction level to “No restrictions” 6 Click “OK” 7 Restart PC Then you login with the user, set the default printer, then log off, use administrator login again, turn of Windows Disk Protection and reset restrictions for user.
