Just installed dec 2014 CU 

Is there any reports of known issues after this is installed? 

particular regarding the managed meta data service?

Hi,

I cannot find any report on known issues about this update. You could install it on your test environment to be on the safe side.

I've installed it on 3 different environments - and the Managed Metadata services application failed afterwards on all 3

installed the CU and ran this first:

PSConfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures

SP configuration failed - I rebooted the server and ran this:

psconfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force

with Success

The MMS gave the error:  The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. 

and the proxy 
The TimeSpan could not be parsed because at least one of the numeric components is out of range or contains too many digits.

- tried to create a new - didn't work - but I got the MMS "back" with this

psconfig -cmd secureresources

Could you please locate more error message in App log or ULS log?

If you create a new Managed Metadata service application, did you receive any error message?

Just to be on the safe side, please refer to the article below and make sure you have run the SharePoint 2013 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm.

the psconfig is done on each machine 

HI,I installed the DEC-cu in all our farms recently.I didn't see any issues.

Is the psconfig successful in all the servers in the farm?
