Dealing with groups in SSRS subscriptions and permissions
What is the best practice of dealing with groups of users in the following scenarious:
1) sending group of users email subscriptions.
2) giving group of users permissions to view report.

1) I suggest you schedule your report subscription processing out of working hours because it will increase your load on your reporting server if you process a bunch of reports for subscription in normal hours.

Question 1: Sending group of users email subscriptions.
In order to achieve this, we can create a table in our database with the list of email address. Then, we can create a data-driven subscription for the report to deliver report to each group users. Here are some articles for your reference, please

Question 2: Giving group of users permissions to view report.
In Reporting Services, if you want to access to Report Server and view report, we must specify an Item-level role for the user. We can also specify the name of a domain group account that includes all of the users who require permissions to view reports.
