While in document library datasheet view, I try to change the value of a customize column, the row becomes read-only and updates are not possible. I get the standard "You have errors. Resolve" message on the bottom left and "Read-only" on the bottom right, I can only discard the changes but unable to save. I already check out the document before edit in datasheet view. The strange thing is that it only happen to 1 or 2 documents, most of the documents I can edit the field value and save. This often happen once a while, and is unexplainable. Is this a bug? anyone encounter this problem before? any advise?

when you upload the new document, and edit the field value and save, is it ok for you? if it's ok. i think you need check whether these two documents are special with other document.
