Data sheet view unavailable
The issue is that under actions of any list on X site collection, I do not have the options: Edit in Data Sheet, Export to Speadsheet, Open with Access. In addition, I do not have the option to create a "Data Sheet View" in a previously existing list. I have checked Excel Services and it is enabled and working, I have also checked the Site Features, Site Collection Features, and Farm Level Features, all of which have been enabled.I'm using Office 2007. I'm able to hit other sites and get the functionality. There is something specific to this server and/or site configuration. if I manipulate the querystring of the Url to force a datasheet view of the data, it does not work and I get the following message under the list: The Standard View of your list is being displayed because your site configuration does not support the Datasheet.Any idea? Thanks,Sumit

This has nothing to do with Excel Services.Moving to Setup/Admin.You will find that Datasheet view is only available on a client which is using BOTH IE as browser (5.5 upwards) AND has Office 2003 Pro or Office 2007 installed.Similarly for the other options you mention as being missing. The problem is with this particular client.

I have reproduced the problem on a machine running IE7 AND Office 2007.

Are you using 64 bit version of Office ? If Yes Datasheet feature on SharePoint not available for customers who install the 64-bit version of Office 2010. Resolution: Customers using the 64-bit version of Office 2010 can install the2007 Office System Drivers: Data Connectivity Componentsto regain the Datasheet functionality when using the 32-bit version of an internet browser.
